There’s been a recent outbreak of killer bunnies on campus.
Due to several territorial wars between the bunnies and squirrels, many of them have not survived long enough to achieve their first kill. Rabbits who haven’t tasted blood are called ‘Premies’ and are the size of a softball, while those who have are called ‘Hunters’ and are five times that size, and have been known to attack students.
Trackers (a team of science and biology students) believe that a hunter has established its territory between the SMT and the Science Building. Hunters will not attack prey if there are many people around, and will instead hop about nibbling on grass. This is also how they attract their prey, attacking when a student comes close.
The newspaper’s Trauma department staff scheduled an interview with one student who saw the hunter. However, at the scene of the interview, a Premie leapt from the bushes and attacked. The staff member survived and is being sheltered by the Witness Protection Program, but the student was dragged off. His family has requested his name not be mentioned.
In the case of an encounter with one of these deadly creatures, the Trackers advise students to remain calm, stay at least twelve yards away from the creature, do not make eye contact, and run to the nearest group of students.
Hunters and Premies and Trackers… OH MY!
When rabbits go rabid it’s not so cute! It causes death! Lots of death!
