How Swine Flu is controlling America

Facemasks and hand sanitizer are a common sight nowadays. What do these items have in common? Many people are buying them in response to a pandemic that is sweeping the nation, the H1N1 virus, most commonly known as swine flu. Should people truly be worried about this? Background information: Swine flu was declared a pandemic on June 11, 2009, after an outbreak in Mexico, and has spread in “much the same way that the regular seasonal flu spreads,” according to CDC.

    Proposition 8 of California, one of the major props on the country, was passed by the residence on November 4th.     California has set the gay community back many steps to their equality, by approving the ban on gay marriage.

  In such a historic presidential election, the debates between McCain and Obama did not live up to all of our expectations. In the beginning, before any of the debates even started, John McCain decided he had to postpone his campaign, cancelling an appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman to "rush" to Washington to solve the economic crisis.

  Domestic Policy was discussed on the third and final presidential debate on October 15, 2008. With Joe the Plummer on his way to political fame, this was an excellent opportunity for John McCain to be aggressive and show how his policies shape up back home.

    The past 8 years of American political history has been a perpetual letdown for this nation. With a collapsing economy, an unjustifiable war, overt constitutional infringement, and a general aura of Dr. Evil-like ruling, our country had long ago grown weary of the way it was being manipulated by the powers that be.

  There have been some major changes to the staff of Fox News that will surely affect the way that they are perceived by the public eye.  Since 1996, Alan Colmes has been co-host of Hannity & Colmes, with Sean Hannity. Hannity is a conservative, while Colmes is a liberal.

  It is clear that at this point we have all heard of Nadya Suleman. If that name doesn’t ring a bell, then “the octuplet mom” should. Suleman already had six children before she decided to have more children. She didn’t know that she would have eight kids, but she was using fertility drugs and donated sperm from a man she called a friend.
