Hollywood complains about making millions

People screw up. It’s a known fact that if you are human and you have a pulse you will screw up at some point. The only major difference is that if John Johnson, tax accountant screws up, not many people outside of the world of John Johnson notice or care. When a major politician or celebrity screws up, it’s everywhere. The newspaper, TV shows, everywhere. Is it right for us to put celebrities and politicians in the spotlight for the mistakes they make, when we make the same mistakes every day? Yes. Celebrities are role models for a large portion of our society. If you don’t believe it, ask any elementary school girl who she’d most like to be like. The answer will be apparent not only from what she says but from the high school musical lunch box and Hannah Montana T-shirt. Do you really want your little sister’s idol to be able to have naked pictures of her all over the internet and have no one call her out for it because it’s “her own business?” Take the politicians in our country. If a senator can justify cheating on his wife what other errors in ethical judgment is he likely to make when it comes to running the country? Celebrities and politicians give up their right to privacy when they decide to go in to their fields of work. Their whole line of work is based on what the public thinks of them, ergo the public will be in every aspect of their lives. They should know this from watching other celebrities and politicians before them. If these celebrities and politicians of late can’t take the heat of having their personal lives being pried into, they need to get out of the hotspot. If they want “normal lives” they should seek a different profession.
