The aviation program at Green River Community College is gaining a national reputation, as noted in this video journalism story. Please click this picture and watch it for yourself.

This story, and others like it, is a joint effort of the Fall on-campus newspaper-lab class and video-editing class at the Kent Center. Student-journalists gathered footage, interviews and related items in reporting the stories. The Journalism Department’s video-editing students then took the material and turned it into a series of 1- to 2-minute news stories for The Current’s website.
Upcoming stories include items on the use of masks in mythology classes, the free shuttle program to/from Pacific Raceways, ongoing construction projects, a STEPP dance program, a look at the college automotive program and, finally, a story about a football team that carries a Green River name but is unrelated to the college.
