The Current
May 26, 1989 Nirvana and Skin Yard held a concert at Green River's Lindbloom Student Center. We and KGRG radio welcomed them.
Testing about us
On a sunny Saturday afternoon, I walked onto the Green River baseball field, to see a game from which baseball got its roots being played. The scene I encountered was very different than the sport I grew up playing. The team was practicing. Instead of playing from the pitchers mound to home plate, they had set up what I’d later learn were called wickets about 120 feet down the first base line.
The Current as a print medium has undergone numerous reinventions from a modest newsletter to the present broadsheet fammilliar to students and staff at Green River Community College. To keep pace with a changing industry, The Current is revealing itself as a reinvisioned production with the addition of this website and the change of a traditional newspaper to a newsmagazine format.
