Hey! I’m Lindsey, the managing editor/advertising manager of The Current for 09-10. I’ve been at GRCC for almost 2 years now, planning my graduation party for December of 10. I started out on the paper as a reporter back in winter of last year, and ended up staying to become campus editor over the summer. Taking on ads was a lot more work, but I love working with different companies in the area, so it’s a really fun job. I just starting working on the website, and it’s great because the deadlines are much shorter and everyone gets a taste for every section, rather than just one. I’m hoping that by the end of this year, we’ll have the site running like a well oiled engine so things don’t fall apart when I leave. Check back in August and we’ll see if my hopes were in vain or not.
After GRCC, I’m transferring to Evergreen State College to study English and publishing. While I have a few ideas for career options once I graduate, I haven’t narrowed my decision down yet so who knows where I could end up. Regardless of my career, I’m crossing my fingers, proverbially of course since I’m typing, that it’s a happy place with an awesome sports car.
